About the Neurodiversity Show
Welcome to The Neurodiversity Show 2025: The UK’s Premier Exhibition Dedicated to Neurodiversity
The Neurodiversity Show is the UK’s largest and most comprehensive event dedicated to celebrating and supporting neurodiversity. Taking place at the NEC Birmingham on 9th-10th May 2025, this ground-breaking event brings together individuals, educators, parents, and professionals to foster understanding, collaboration, and empowerment for all.
What began as the Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Shows has now evolved into The Neurodiversity Show—a unified, inclusive platform designed to address the full spectrum of neurodiverse conditions. By expanding our scope, we aim to highlight the interconnected nature of neurodivergences such as ADHD, dyspraxia, and mental health, alongside dyslexia and dyscalculia.
This evolution is more than a name change; it’s a commitment to fostering a broader, more inclusive community where shared experiences and knowledge drive greater awareness, understanding, and support.

Empowerment: Equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools to confidently navigate their neurodiversity.
Standards: Raising the bar for inclusivity and support across educational, professional, and social contexts.
Inclusion: Valuing everyone’s differences, empowering them, and enabling them to be themselves and achieve their potential.
Community: Building a supportive network that fosters understanding and collaboration among all stakeholders.
Understanding: Enhancing awareness of the multifaceted nature of neurodiversity and its implications for individuals and society.
Pioneering Change: Leading the way in innovative solutions and approaches to support and celebrate neurodiversity.
These values are the foundation of The Neurodiversity Show, shaping an event that educates, inspires, and drives change.
Our Story: From the Dyslexia Show to The Neurodiversity Show
The Neurodiversity Show has its roots in the Dyslexia Show, founded by Arran Smith in 2019. Arran, a severely dyslexic adult diagnosed at the age of 9, overcame significant challenges to become a leading advocate and entrepreneur in the field of neurodiversity.
The Birth of the Dyslexia Show
- April 2019: Arran founded the Dyslexia Show to create a platform for those affected by dyslexia. The inaugural event was planned for March 2020 with 48 exhibitors, 19 sponsors, and over 30 speakers.
- March 2022: Delayed due to the pandemic, the Dyslexia Show debuted with over 50 exhibitors, 22 sponsors, 40 speakers, and more than 1,500 attendees over two days.
- March 2023: The Dyslexia Show saw significant growth, with over 3,000 attendees, a dedicated TextHelp Lounge for networking and support, and an increased number of sessions and resources.
- March 2024: Returning stronger than ever, the event welcomed 4,000 attendees, 65 exhibitors, and 65 speakers. This year also marked the launch of the Dyscalculia Show, further expanding the event’s focus.
The Evolution to The Neurodiversity Show
Recognising the interconnected nature of neurodiverse conditions, the event expanded its focus in 2024 to include ADHD, dyspraxia, mental health, and more. This evolution reflects the growing demand for a more inclusive platform that addresses the shared experiences and unique strengths of neurodiverse individuals.
